As Dylan was leading the 2A state most of the season, Dakota posted a phenomenal, yet suspicious time of 15:16 the previous week, besting Dylan's best by 12 seconds. Should Dylan be concerned? At the District Meet, Dakota blitzed to a 15 or so second lead in the first mile. Should Dylan be concerned? Dylan edged up only 5 seconds in the second mile? Should Dylan be concerned? Dylan maintained his pace, wagering that Dakota would fade the last mile. With 600 to go, Dylan caught Dakota. Now Dakota is concerned! Dylan's amazing finish overtook Dakota by 9 seconds.
