Animals Talk
In the sixty's, 20th Century Fox released the humorus award winning musical about Dr. Dolittle. The story, written in 1920, is of a doctor that avoids human patients and tends to work with animals instead because he can communicate with them with easy. He can truly speak their language. This was his coping mechanism, as he struggled to deal with fellow humans on a social level.
Many of the animals he interacted with were common creatures, but there were a few memorable exotic (fictitious) creatures like the pushme-pullyu - a two headed llama.
Just as Dr. Dolittle learned by "walking with the animals, talking with the animals", we as Panther Distance Runners also need to learn from other creatures in the Animal Kingdom. We will explore some extremely talented and determined animals that will teach us valuable lessons in our distance running and other aspects of life.
The goal is to be successful in all that we do. Therefore, we must not "Do Little" so while we listen to the animals we will call this series "Dr. Do-A-Lot"!
